Summary

The IT Infrastructure Engineer Sr. is responsible for the maintenance, installation, and configuration of infrastructure technologies and next generation technologies. May be involved with complex system integration testing and evaluation.

Elastic Search, Logstash, Kibana (ELK), beats: Support multiple Elastic Stack clusters as a cybersecurity SIEM use-case in a production environment. Overall health and performance of multiple Elastic Stack clusters. Data data pipelines using Logstash and Kafka. Kibana visualization and dashboards working with business needs. Support/Enhance Beats agents. Onboard additional logging use-cases to support business needs (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats). Curate Elasticsearch indices using Elasticsearch-curator or Lifecycle Management. Support the integration of Elastic Search for various APS systems. Assist with log ingestion and parsing rules are working properly. Defining requirements for Watchers for logs based on user criteria. Defining requirements used to connect Watchers and Alerts to ServiceNow and email for proactive notifications. Requirements for building Kibana dashboards to visualize steady-state operations/alerts.  Requirements and supporting the build and implementation of machine learning modules that recognize trends such as log production, message size, and execution times.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelors' degree in Information Technology or related field and 7 year of prior relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.
Requires in-depth level of technical knowledge within a job area and working knowledge of other technical areas

Expectation of being part of an on-call rotation
 

Major Accountabilities

1. Performs the most complex duties of the technical infrastructure team
2. Leads architecture, design, analysis, implementation, and operations of infrastructure
3. Develops, recommends, and implements complex infrastructure solutions
4. Leads the planning, designing, and execution of testing
5. Ensures infrastructure scalability and security within the organization
6. Reviews plans to manage the frequency of support package/patch application
7. Applies highly developed specialized knowledge and skills in Infrastructure to define improvements for increased reliability and performance
8. Evaluates and tests emerging technologies
9. Recognized as the most experienced and knowledgeable infrastructure engineer within the organization
10. Provides guidance, coaching, and training to other employees within field of infrastructure engineering
11. Typically responsible for managing major/complex projects across the enterprise at this level, involving delegation of work and review of infrastructure engineering projects
