Summary
What Your Day Would Be Like:
- Monitoring the health and performance of the AMI Command Center and related systems to ensure reliable meter communications and data delivery
- Responding to system alerts and incidents by reviewing logs, system metrics, and job status to restore service quickly and effectively
- Performing routine system and application maintenance, including health checks, certificate renewals, and scheduled patching activities
- Partnering with IT infrastructure, network, database, operations teams, and vendors to troubleshoot issues and coordinate maintenance or deployments
- Identifying recurring issues and contributing ideas to improve monitoring, runbooks, and overall system reliability

Minimum Requirements
AMI Systems Analyst II (Landis+Gyr Command Center)
- Bachelors' degree in Information Technology or related field
- PLUS two (2) years of prior relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.
- Requires working technical knowledge gained through experience within a job area or system.
Technical Skills:
- 2+ years of experience in server administration and/or application production support (Windows and/or Linux)
- Experience monitoring systems and troubleshooting using logs, services, scheduled jobs, and performance metrics (CPU/memory/disk).
- Working understanding of AMI concepts and architecture (meters, collectors, RF mesh/cellular, HES, MDMS) and how data flows to downstream systems.
- Familiarity with ITSM/ticketing (e.g., ServiceNow), incident management, and change control practices.
- Familiarity with SQL queries and basic database concepts to validate data flow and support troubleshooting.
- Experience administering Windows/Linux servers including patching support, service management, access/credential validation, and working with security/vulnerability remediation guidance; ability to participate in an on-call rotation and collaborate effectively with customers and peers.
- Experience in AMI Application support and maintenance
Major Accountabilities
- Support high availability and operational readiness of the Landis+Gyr Command Center application and supporting server infrastructure.
- Monitor system health, integrations, communication performance, and scheduled jobs; validate successful completion of daily operational processing.
- Diagnose and resolve issues impacting meter reads, interval data, or operational commands by reviewing logs, queues, jobs, and server/application status; escalate when required.
- Help ensure AMI system performance meets established SLAs and operational targets through proactive monitoring, timely incident response, and disciplined follow-through.
- Track incidents, changes, and corrective actions in the enterprise ticketing system (ServiceNow) with accurate notes and resolution details.
- Support and monitor AMI integrations to MDMS, GIS, and other enterprise systems; identify failures and coordinate restoration with integration owners.
- Maintain and update operational documentation, SOPs, and runbooks for server/application support tasks.
- Provide operational status updates and performance metrics to leadership and stakeholders as requested.
- Patching (execute/support) – Coordinate and perform assigned Windows, Linux OS, and Landis+Gyr Command Center application patching activities across AMI environments (non‑prod, production, test, DR as applicable).
- Support security, vulnerability remediation, and compliance requirements by applying approved hardening/patching guidance and promptly addressing identified findings under supervision.
