Summary

The IT Oracle CC&B Developer (Customer Care & Billing ) is responsible for the design, build, test and deploy technical solutions in Oracle CC&B. Translates customer business requirements into high quality solution designs for Oracle Utility products. Collaborates with Business Analysts, project leads and other IT teams to resolve issues and ensuring solutions are viable and consistent.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors' degree in Information Technology or related field and minimum 5 years prior utility industry experience which includes at least 4 years CCB system development experience.
  • In lieu of a bachelors degree, an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience totally 9 years is required.
  • Demonstrated successful experience in the implementation of at least one Oracle CC&B system. Certification as Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing (CC&B) implementation specialist.
  • Advanced in-depth technical knowledge of Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing (CC&B) systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Meter-2-Cash life cycle.
  • Extensive knowledge of all CC&B modules and Oracle Utility Application Framework (OUAF).
  • Knowledge in CC&B integrations with various edge systems like utility website, Meter Data Management MDM), AMI, IVR, Payment channels etc.
  • Knowledge of CC&B schema and skill to write complex queries for data analysis.


Preferred Special Skills, Knowledge or Qualifications

  • Knowledge of multiple programming languages, database management systems and development platforms. Ability to understand and explain the most technical issues and solutions in non-technical terms.
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues and teams in different fields across a diverse organization.
  • Experience in design, development, coding, and testing of business/commercial applications using ASP.Net, C#, Multi-Threading, ADO.Net, XML, XSD, and Web Services
  • Experience in end-to-end SDLC, including configuration management using tools like Microsoft Team foundation Server (TFS) or Azure DevOps.


 

Major Accountabilities

1) Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug existing Oracle CC&B system

2) Implement edge system integration to Oracle CCB for exchanging data via API, webservices and messaging queues.

3) Work collaboratively work with Customer Experience clients and IT staff to deliver effective and innovative business technology solutions.

4) Establish best practices for CCB solution alignment with relevant industry, regulatory, and technical requirements.

5) Design and develop new integrations with external vendors and CC&B system as required.

6) Research and suggest new technologies, resources to improve CC&B application performance.

7) Supports integration system testing with other edge systems.

8) Lead medium size projects and initiatives in customer service area.

9) Interact with users to help identify issues; troubleshoot problems and provide solutions.

10) Work with application vendors, technical support issues, and application evaluation.

11) Coordinate vendor relations, including analysis and correction of processing issues, applications/support maintenance including fixes.

Flex Role:
This position is not required to be performed at a specific APS facility as long as adequate technology and a solid ergonomic set up are present. Pending agreement with leadership, employees hired into this role will be able to choose where they prefer to perform their work. Employees will have two options to choose from: 

  • APS office based: The employee prefers to work most of the time from an APS facility.
  • Home based: The employee prefers to work most of the time from his/her home.

 

*Employees in Flex roles are required to reside in Arizona (or NM for Four Corners-based employees). Role types are subject to change based on business need.
