Summary
The Leader Creative Services leads the team responsible for enhancing and protecting the company's brand by optimizing its video, graphic design and photo functions. Generate new applications of video, photo and design, and strategically integrate these elements into both internal department activities and external campaigns and projects. Ensure excellence in video, photo and design production and adherence to delivery schedules while promoting a service-driven culture. Supports the team in prioritizing high-value work, streamlining processes and building strong working relationships throughout the organization.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent. Prefer undergraduate degree in graphic design, communications or related discipline.
- Requires five (5) years progressively responsible experience and knowledge of Creative Services and its functions: branding, graphic design, video and photography.
- Ability to manage company brand standards policy.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including providing hands-on support of Creative Services projects when needed.
- Detail oriented with a strong focus on quality, customer service and time management.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in coaching direct reports to perform exceptional customer service.
- Good communication, interpersonal, organizational and planning skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage outside contractors and prioritize multiple requests and deadlines.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge, or Qualifications:
- Able to manage the ongoing relationship with the APS Company Store vendor, including oversight of new products and ensuring brand guidance compliance.
- Also required to manage the Digital Asset Management system, including maintaining content governance and supporting user onboarding and training.
Major Accountabilities
1) Lead team responsible for enhancing and protecting the company's brand by optimizing its video, graphic design and photo functions.
2) Manage creative services budget to achieve corporate objectives.
3) Generate new applications of video, photo and design. Engage with all communications department functions to identify and develop opportunities to strategically integrate video, photo and graphic design elements into both internal and external projects across all communication channels.
4) Ensure excellence in video, photo and design production and adherence to delivery schedules.
5) Use customer research to shape data-informed strategies and tactics.
6) Manage and mentor staff to proficiently handle responsibilities and promote professional development.
7) Manage vendors to ensure all activities support strategic objectives. Periodically evaluate vendors to seek efficiencies, new capabilities or new thinking.
8) Participate in crisis and business continuity preparedness and response.
9) Establish and track key metrics and use data to streamline processes for the team and clients.
