Summary
The Regulatory Compliance Analyst evaluates, implements and maintains the organization's compliance with regulatory rules and standards for technical areas that include but are not limited to operations, planning, siting, Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP), reliability and safety. Maintains programs and procedures to ensure compliance with technical standards established by national, regional and local regulatory authorities, and prepares related regulatory filings and reports. Participates in audits, training, risk assessments and security reviews of compliance programs and takes actions to remediate noncompliance issues. Interacts with technical representatives from regulatory authorities and other energy market participants.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- And a minimum 2 years' related regulatory compliance experience.
- In lieu of a degree, an equivalent combination of education and experience totally 6 years is required.
- General knowledge of electric utility industry and associated regulatory / legislative issues and related compliance requirements.
Major Accountabilities
1) Monitors and confirms compliance with operational and technical requirements of the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC).
2) Participates in investigations.
3) Contributes to the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of compliance-related controls and systems.
4) Participates in the monitoring of transmission operations and planning to ensure compliance with federal, regional and local regulations
5) Coordinates Compliance Audits by FERC, NERC and other regulatory bodies.
