Summary
Installing, maintaining and repairing HVAC systems and equipment up to and including Chillers, air handlers, split-systems, and rooftop air conditioners. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical HVAC equipment failures. Clean, inspect, and adjust HVAC systems. Work as outage crafts during refueling operations at a Nuclear Generating Station.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma/GED plus three (3) years of experience in HVAC. EEI CAST Test Administered.
Nuclear requirement: Any PVGS employee may be called upon to serve as a member of the Emergency Response Organization (ERO) and will be expected to fulfill their obligation as an ERO member. Any PVNGS employee may be called upon to support a refueling or short-notice outage. This includes line roles and responsibilities as necessary to execute outage activities. These are conditions of employment at PVNGS.
Major Accountabilities
2) Perform maintenance in accordance with plant procedures and instructions.
3) Coordinate and work with other maintenance personnel and work groups to complete job assignments.
4) Document work activities as required by station work control procedures.
5) Actively work at becoming qualified to work on plant equipment and systems through on-the-job training and formal training programs.
6) Use sound radiation work practices, support the ALARA concepts, perform and direct fire watches and other safety procedures.
7) Perform other related duties as required.

Testing Information
Tests are only administered to referred candidates. More information about our tests and the testing process can be found HERE.
A written [paper and pencil] test will be administered.
A test using a computer with keyboard will be administered.
