The Site Operations Support Leader provides daily leadership of the stations administrative support team. Provides input and coaching to effectively evaluate and manage performance. Leads and/or participates in projects and programs associated with administrative support.

Minimum Requirements

A four-year Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or other job related field from an accredited college or university. In lieu of bachelors degree, combination of college coursework and/or administrative assistant experience equaling four (4) years. Experience using Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Special Skills, Knowledge or Qualifications:
Experience in a supervisory capacity and/or leading teams/projects. Experience providing exceptional customer service. Budget preparation including solid understanding of budget, contracts and accounting processes. Project management skills working with all levels of the organization. Leadership skills and ability to work with all levels of the organization including senior executives. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience handling confidential and sensitive material and information with the highest level of discretion and confidentiality.

Nuclear requirement:
Any PVGS employee may be called upon to serve as a member of the Emergency Response Organization (ERO) and will be expected to fulfill their obligation as an ERO member. Any PVGS employee may be called upon to support a refueling or short-notice outage. This includes line roles and responsibilities as necessary to execute outage activities. These are conditions of employment at PVGS.

Major Accountabilities

1) Develops and manages a high performing team of administrative support staff through effective hiring, training, coaching, mentoring, performance feedback, reward, recognition and developmental opportunities.


2) Works with site leadership to understand the administrative support needs of their organization and assigns qualified administrative support. Analyzes and monitors workload of assistants.


3) Assesses training needs of the organization. Develops and executes training. Provides cross-training opportunities to increase proficiency.


4) Manages site administrative operations to include key meeting preparation and on-the-day organization and liaison with internal partners (facilities, IT, etc.). Plans and/or directs various administrative, financial and operational activities and duties at the direction of the Manager, including advance support and meeting coordination.


5) Works closely with Manager to lead and or participate in the planning and execution of special projects or special events.


6) Monitors budget for administrative organization and authorizes approval of expenses.
