Summary
Minimum Requirements
Must be able to demonstrate a journeyman's level of proficiency through testing.
High school diploma or equivalent.
ANSI 3.1(1978).
Qualified.
Testing:
EEI MASS Test administered.
Nuclear requirement:
Any PVNGS employee may be called upon to serve as a member of the Emergency Response Organization (ERO) and will be expected to fulfill their obligation as an ERO member.
This is a condition of employment at PVNGS.
Roles and Responsibilities defined in Policy 1503 and implementing policy guide are applicable to all PVNGS employees.
Any PVNGS employee may be called upon to support a refueling or short-notice outage.
This includes line roles and responsibilities as necessary to execute outage activities.
Major Accountabilities
2) Assists in the design and fabrication of special machines and fixtures that are not readily available for support activities.
3) Performs in accordance with Plant procedures and instructions.
4) Coordinates and works with other maintenance disciplines and support groups as necessary to complete job assignments.
5) Ability to direct, coordinate and oversee work activities with minimal supervision.
6) Prepare proper documentation of work activities as required per station work control procedures.

Testing Information
Tests are only administered to referred candidates. More information about our tests and the testing process can be found HERE.
A written [paper and pencil] test will be administered.
A test using a computer with keyboard will be administered.
A hands-on skills test will be administered.
A physical ability test will be administered.

This position requires work to be performed in the field and/or at the work site, due to the nature of work.
Any PVGS employee may be called upon for random Fitness For Duty Testing (FFD) during scheduled working hours. Employees must report to FFD at Palo Verde as soon as reasonably practicable, but no more than 120 minutes after being notified. Employees who are onsite when notified will have no more than 60 minutes to report after being notified.
