Summary

The Division Manager, Transmission and Distribution directs the Transmission and Distribution services and activities of a regional geographic division and its staff to ensure, adequate, safe, reliable and timely electric service to all customers. Direct activities of staff and resources to accomplish Division goals and address strategies that enhance the company's image in the community and contributes to the overall profitability of the Business unit and the Company. Establish and communicate desired targets and results for regional geographic division and staff in key measurable areas of service reliability, cost management, regulatory compliance, customer service and satisfaction and environmental and safety performance. Provide appropriate leadership, guidance, training and support, enabling work environment to achieve the same.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors' Degree in Business, Engineering, Science or related field, with a minimum of eight years' experience in Customer Service, or transmission distribution operations, construction or maintenance, or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated experience.
  • Minimum three (3) years proven leadership experience required.

    Preferred Special Skills, Knowledge or Qualification:
    Working knowledge of engineering, operations, maintenance and construction practices.
    Proven success in establishing and maintaining favorable business and community relationships with community business and political leaders and with local municipalities.

Major Accountabilities

1) Ensure the distribution system is operated and maintained to meet established criteria in a safe and efficient manner.

2) Set the strategic goals and manage the operational functions to meet profitability goals for a major regional geographic division of the Business.

3) Serve as representative leader of the Division, promoting the company's image in the community and building and maintaining solid relations with elected officials and business leaders.

4) Ensure the overall compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, including but not limited to WECC, NERC, FERC, ACC, OSHA, DOT and all other environmental and safety requirement.

5) Ensure facilities are designed and constructed to meet the criteria of safety, reliability and economics and that that customers receive prompt and courteous service within requested time frame. Ensure timely and accurate meter reading and billing.

6) Provide customers with convenient, cost-effective options for payments, service requests and inquiries.

7) Ensure retention of Key customers within a major regional geographic division by determining and meeting needs, achieving customer satisfaction CSI's and building loyalty.

8) Collaborate effectively with Marketing, Franchise, Community Relations and other departments to promote the company's key strategic initiatives, including but not limited to DSM, conservation, renewables, rate options, community involvement, etc., thereby enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty.
